I have been in contact with the ChristChurch Cathedral about sourcing some stain glass broken by the quake to make a tribute work. They emailed such a grateful response to my request and explained it was not possible to gain access at the moment but to keep in touch. Then on Monday 13 June after the two strong aftershocks the Cathedral’s iconic Rose window fell. So this work based on one of the window’s geometrical pattern and it is a tribute to the window and to all the windows that have fallen since September 2010. ChristChurch Cathedral has just posted this work on their website.
