Kathryn Mun-Jing Tsui (pronounced ‘Chu’), is an artist and curator based in the Coromandel. Tsui’s cross-disciplinary art practice relates to formalist observations from everyday life.
Kathryn Tsui is a curator and artist based in Tairua, Coromandel. A 2007 Bachelor of Visual Arts (Sculpture) graduate from Auckland University of Technology with two AUT School of Art and Design academic scholarships.
Since 2008, Kathryn has held several positions in art galleries and centres. She was the Gallery Coordinator at Artstation Toi Tu, Ponsonby, Auckland from 2008 to 2012. Kathryn was then the Curator and Exhibitions Manager at Corbans Estate Arts Centre in Henderson, Auckland until 2016 before relocating to the Coromandel. Kathryn is currently the curator and administrator for the Mercury Bay Art Escape Trust a visual arts organisation and artists trail.
Kathryn’s work has featured in various curated group exhibitions across New Zealand and her work is in the art collection of the University of Waikato.
