Kathryn Tsui is an artist and weaver based in the Coromandel Peninsula. Tsui’s cross-disciplinary art practice comprises abstractions and observations drawn from everyday life. A 2007 Bachelor of Visual Arts (Sculpture) graduate from Auckland University of Technology with two AUT School of Art and Design academic scholarships, Tsui’s work has featured in various curated group exhibitions across New Zealand and Australia, and is included in public and private collections.
Since 2008, Kathryn has held several positions in art galleries and centres. She was the Gallery Coordinator at Artstation Toi Tu, Ponsonby, Auckland from 2008 to 2012. Kathryn was then the Curator and Exhibitions Manager at Corbans Estate Arts Centre in Henderson, Auckland until 2016 before relocating to the Coromandel. Kathryn was the curator and administrator for the Mercury Bay Art Escape Trust a visual arts organisation and artists trail between 2017 to 2019. In 2020 Kathryn worked for Connect the Dots as their exhibition coordinator.
